Why did Sonu reN(in)d(y)er it?

Yamla Pagla Deewana was an exuberant and iconic song from Pratiggya, which released in 1975.

It was penned by Anand Bakshi, composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal and rendered by Mohammed Rafi.

Of this quartet of legends, only Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma is alive, and it was he who teamed up with Rhythm Dhol Bass (RDB) for the rehash of the classic, which was the title track of Yamla Pagla Deewana, the film that derived its title from the aforementioned track.

Bakshi's lyrics were retained, while RDB penned additional ones.

It was rendered by Sonu Nigam and Nindy Kaur.
