Poetry was alive (Swan)and kicking

Tu Kisi Rail Si, the only track from Masaan (2015) on this blog, was not just a song. But it was also an affirmation of the fact that poetry doesn’t just co-exist with typical Hindi film song lyrics, but is also appreciated.

The song, which was three minutes and 50 seconds long, was an adaptation of a poem by Dushyant Kumar, and penned by Varun Grover.

Interestingly, it was rendered by Swanand Kirkire, who is among the best lyricists in Hindi cinema at the moment.

The songs of the film were composed by Indian Ocean.
