Qawwali is a form of devotional music, and once adorned Hindi film
soundtracks, but of late, film musicians have been presenting watered-down
versions of the real deal, which they need to refrain from pronto.
One of these was Ishq Karenge, the only track from Bangistan (2015) on this blog.
It was four minutes and 26 seconds long.
Puneet Krishna penned the Ram Sampath composition, which was rendered by Abhishek Nailwal, Shadab Faridi and Sona Mohapatra.
Unfortunately, the youth gave the EDM version of the track (which was 14 seconds shorter than the original) a miss.
