Every time I
listen to Malhari, the awesome number
from Bajirao Mastani, it reaffirms my
belief that it was a song that was tailor-made for Mr Dadlani. Needless to say,
he did it justice.
The song, which
appealed to the masses and the classes (Vish)alike, was four minutes and five
seconds long.
While one word
beginning with C (colloquial) aptly described the language of the track,
another, incidentally beginning with the same letter, described its mood. And
that was celebratory.
It was penned by
Prashant Ingole, and composed by none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
