Interestingly, the
only notable track on the soundtrack of Road,
Movie (2010)* wasn’t an original.
It was an adaptation of the Sahir Ludhianvi-S D Burman classic Tel Maalish, which was from Pyaasa (1957)** and rendered by Mohammed Rafi.
While Ludhianvi’s lyrics (mercifully) weren’t altered, the song, which Michael Brook composed, was sung by Sylvia Gordon.
[*Note (1): It released in India in 2010. It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival the previous year.]
[**Note (2): There is a post on this track on my blog on the music of films released in the 1950s.]
