Taali was the longest track on the soundtrack of Veer – it was half-a-dozen minutes and
10 seconds long.
There’s no two ways about the fact that the lyrics – credited to none other than Gulzar – were the highlight of the song.
It was composed by Sajid-Wajid, who deserved a round of taalis (applause) for it.
The latter was credited as one of the four men who crooned it. The others were Sonu Nigam. Sukhwinder Singh and Neuman Pinto.
The solo version of the track, which was sung by Singh, was six minutes and a second long.
