The soundtrack of Heropanti, which marked the debut of
Tiger Shroff, featured the song that had the signature whistle riff from Hero, his father’s Jackie’s breakthrough
film, which released in 1983.
The track in question was Whistle Baja.
It was three minutes and 13 seconds long.
Manj Musik’s involvement in the track wasn’t just restricted to composing it, but he also rendered it with Nindy Kaur and Raftaar (who, incidentally, penned it).
It is pertinent to note that the duo who composed the Hero riff – Laxmikant-Pyarelal – were given the credit that was due to them.
