(Sridh)Aremixed version wa(Pra)s(ha)n(’)t worth it

It wouldn’t be incorrect to state that those who loved the soundtrack of Mr India (1987), wouldn’t give their nod to this version of an iconic track from the film, which featured on the soundtrack of Shaitan (2011).

The song in question was Hawa Hawai* (the Laxmikant-Pyarelal composition, which Javed Akhtar penned).

The recreated version, which was four minutes and 54 seconds long, was credited to Mikey McCleary.

Prashant Pillai and Suman Shridhar rendered it.

(*Note: I have written about the original in my blog on the music of films released between 1987 and 1989.)
