Shilpa R(a)ose to the occasion

If a Hindi film music aficionado wants a bird’s eye view of the future of the genre, it is only fair that he/she listens to the track in which the eyes have been likened to birds.

The song in question was Nain Parindey, from Lafangey Parindey. It was four minutes and 26 seconds long.

The only female solo in the film, it was rendered by Shilpa Rao.

There’s no two ways about the fact that it was an underrated song.

It was penned by the one and only Swanand Kirkire, and composed by R Anandh.
