Hussainpuri was reme(Leh)mbered for it

Sadi Gali was the longer of the two songs from Tanu Weds Manu on this blog. It was four minutes and 24 seconds long.

Interestingly, it wasn’t composed by Krsna Solo, but by RDB, who were the guest composers.

Raj Shekhar penned the track, whose hook – “Ni kadi sadi gali bhul ke vi aaya karo ji” – was in Punjabi, and could be translated to, “Do come to my lane, even if you don’t intend to (or if it were to be translated literally, ‘even if it were by mistake’)”.

It was rendered by Lehmber Hussainpuri.
