Durga’s rendition was certainly commendable

Sneha Khanwalkar wasn’t just nominated for in Best Music Director category at the 58th Filmfare Awards for the soundtracks of both parts of Gangs of Wasseypur, but she also deserves a pat on the back for grooming new talent.

Durga – the girl who sang Chhi-Chha Ledar, from the second part of the film, which released in August 2012 – was a case in point. She was 11 at that point, hailed from Andhra Pradesh and was spotted singing on a train.

The track, which was penned by Varun Grover, was four minutes and eight seconds long.
