It was
undoubtedly very surprising to see Mirza Ghalib being credited with the lyrics
of a song from a Hindi film that released in the 21st century.
The track in question was Dil-E-Nadaan, from Hawaizaada.
It was four minutes and a dozen seconds long.
The involvement of Ayushmann Khurrana – who was, incidentally, the film’s lead – wasn’t restricted to composing it, but he rendered it as well.
It was the best track in the film.
Its Reprise version, which was just four minutes long, was a duet. Khurrana was joined behind the microphone by Shweta Subram.
