The
soundtrack of Ragini MMS (2011) featured a couple of tracks that weren’t
original.
The longer of these was Raat Akeli Hai, from Jewel Thief (1967). It was five minutes and 17 seconds long. In fact, it was the longest song in the film.
Interestingly (and thankfully), it wasn’t a recreated version. So it was definitely a treat for the youth of today, as well as those who were youngsters when Dev Anand was stealing the hearts of film buffs.
The S D Burman composition was rendered by Asha Bhosle and penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri.
