Arijit, who rendered it, was nominated in the Best Male Playback Sing(h)er category at a number of award ceremonies, and bagged the award at the 21st Life OK Screen Awards in 2015.
Jeet Gannguli composed the track, which earned Rashmi Singh the Best Lyricist Award at the 60th Britannia Filmfare Awards, held in 2015.
