As a Deewana
of the music of the 1990s, I have a reason to be upset – the recreators didn’t
spare the title track of Sonu Nigam's 1999 album Deewana too.
The track, which was penned by Faaiz Anwar, was composed by Sajid-Wajid.
The film that featured which this pointless remake – titled Main Hoon Deewana Tera – may have been titled Ek Paheli Leela, but the unsolved paheli (riddle) is, “Have the last rites of originality been performed yet?”
Penned by Kumaar, the Meet Bros Anjjan composition was five minutes and 24 seconds long.
Singh rendered (Arij)it.
