(Am)It was hilarious and hummable

By no means would it be incorrect to state that Ghanchakkar Babu – the title track of Ghanchakkar, which released in 2013 – was a hilarious track.

And that was attributable to the fact that it had a number of nonsensical Mumbaiya phrases, including, “Bheja talke sabudaana” (which conjures up images of a brain frying and becoming the size of a sago pearl), “Continuous thookampatti” and “Spontaneous jholampatti”.

These were credited to the one and only Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Mr Trivedi’s involvement with the song, which was hummable, wasn’t restricted to composing (Am)it, but he rendered it too.
