Abhay Jodhpurkar
had rendered songs in five languages (viz. Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and
Malayalam) before making his Hindi film debut as a playback singer.
That probably explained why the track that marked his Hindi film debut – Mere Naam Tu – appeared to have been sung by a seasoned singer.
The longest of the three tracks from Zero on this blog, it was five minutes and 38 seconds long, and was pretty heavy on the instrumentation.
Irshad Kamil penned the Ajay-Atul composition, which earned Jodhpurkar the Mirchi Music Award for Upcoming Male Vocalist of the Year.
