Although I knew
that Gali Gali was originally from Tridev (1989), I hadn’t heard the original,
which was penned by Mr Bakshi and composed by Kalyanji-Anandji.
In 2018, the inevitable happened. Needless to say, its recreated version – which featured on the soundtrack of K.G.F: Chapter 1, the dubbed Hindi version of a Kannada film of the same name – gave me absolutely no Anand.
While the original was a duet (rendered by Alka Yagnik and Manhar Udhas), the recreated version was a Neha Kakkar solo.
Rashmi Virag (and Bakshi) penned the track, which Tanishk Bagchi recreated.
